File and Printer Sharing in a Workgroup

- Make sure that all PCs are a member of the same workgroup (use the standard of "WORKGROUP" to keep it simple for any new PCs being joined)
- Make sure the firewall is either turned off, or has the appropriate exceptions set up (on all PCs)
- Disable "Simple File Sharing" on all PCs
- Make sure each PC logs in with a username and password (a blank password will not work)
- For each user that will access the file shares remotely, create a logon account on both PCs with a matching username and password
- You can hide these accounts from the Welcome Screen on the shared PC if desired
